I first started yoga to stretch and strengthen my muscles. I am naturally very inflexible, and wanted to touch my toes.
Long working hours and high intensity training were beginning to take a toll on my body, but I discovered yoga was the perfect partner to my busy lifestyle. I was able to switch off like I’d never been able to before. When I was on the mat, my to-do list could wait, and I was able to find calm and focus.
As the weeks went by I felt stronger, more relaxed. And I was able to touch my toes for the first time!
Fast forward, and I’m still a busy worker bee with a full-time and demanding day job. Yoga is a key part of my life, helping me to find more balance.
I made the step to become a yoga teacher to help other busy people. I’ve created Worker Bee Yoga to help people with hectic lives find an hour a week to take care of their bodies and minds.
My goal is to guide you to unlock the benefits of yoga for yourself. To help you build flexibility and strength. To support you to move outside of your comfort zone. To find a little focus and slow down using your breath. Everyone’s experience of yoga is different, but I believe that self-discovery is at its heart. With patience and practice you can achieve any goal you set, and I hope to play a small part in your journey.
