Hi, I’m Hannah!

I started yoga over 12 years ago for two simple reasons: I wanted to tone up and to be able to touch my toes.

But after a few weeks of practice, I realised that yoga brought so much more to the table: not only did I feel physically better after a class, I also felt better within myself.

My only qualm with these classes was that I felt very different to the stereotypical “yoga types” that you see on social media.

I was never naturally flexible and sometimes felt alienated by classes where the teacher would assume everyone knew the basics.

So, I completed over 200 hours of teacher training myself, as well as gaining certifications in a variety of practices such as yin yoga and yoga nidra, so that I could support non-yogis such as I was in a sustainable and non-judgemental way.

Yoga has a number of proven benefits: reducing stress and increasing mindfulness being two of the most common ones.

I’m passionate about sharing these incredible benefits to help others discover them themselves, and to ensure that the classes I offer align with realistic goals and are perfectly suited to your hectic lifestyle.

Why should I become a member? Can't I just practice yoga on Youtube, for free?

You can find plenty of free videos on YouTube but it's hard to know what order to do things, and many students find there is a lack of variety and no commitment to practicising in this way.

I’m a beginner. Is this for me?

Yes! Beginners are welcome to all classes, and I offer different versions of the pose to ensure they are accessible to all. Each yoga class includes clear instructions, modifications, and a comfortable pace. One of the things that I hear most regularly from members is how accessible classes are… no matter your level of strength, flexibility or yoga knowledge you are always welcome in our community!

I’m not very good at motivating myself to practice at home

We can all struggle to stay motivated sometimes! But having a set date and time for live classes can really help as you can put it in your diary, and practicing with others is much more motivating as you feel part of something. Plus I’ll be checking in with you regularly to cheer you on!

Do I need any equipment?

Yoga equipment isn’t a requirement, but you may find it really useful! I use several props in our classes and suggest investing in a couple of yoga bricks if you don’t have them. I also highly recommend a yoga strap and bolster - these can be substituted with a dressing gown cord and bed pillow. It’s also useful to have a couple of sofa cushions and a blanket for padding and comfort in some of the poses as well as during relaxation at the end of most classes.

What if I can’t make all the live classes?

You’d never be expected to make every class at an in-person yoga studio, and it’s no different here! The live class times are deliberately different across the month to hopefully enable you to find a couple of times that work for you. You will also be able to catch up on all the replays via the on-demand library. This membership is all about making your yoga practice work for you so I encourage you do to what works for your schedule, goals and life situation.

What if I already have a class pass with you?

If you already practice with me locally in Hitchin and currently have an existing class pass or other payment method, and would like to level up your practice with the membership then I have options to avoid you doubling up on payment this month.
