Speaking as someone naturally stiff as a board, I know firsthand how yoga can transform flexibility.
I used to believe flexibility was just something you were born with—yoga felt like it was only for the naturally bendy or super fit. But I was wrong. Yoga became the greatest tool for improving flexibility!
I became a yoga teacher in 2021 to help people who don’t fit the ‘yoga stereotype’ discover its benefits. Then, I was diagnosed with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP), a condition that causes muscle stiffness and spasms in the lower body…

When my neurologist heard I was a yoga teacher, he told me it was probably the best thing I could do for my condition. That sparked a passion to dive deep into the science of flexibility. What I found changed everything.
Gentle stretching alone won’t transform your flexibility. But when you combine it with active stretching and targeted yoga strength exercises, the results are huge.

Welcome to Yoga for Flexibility
PART ONE: PASSIVE STRETCHING
Gentle poses with no muscle engagement in the stretch that work with your nervous system and your deep connective tissues to improve flexibility. You’ll learn how to find the right level of stretch and breathwork techniques to help you gradually go deeper.
PART TWO: ACTIVE STRETCHING
Yoga exercises to engage the muscle at the same time as lengthening it, a powerful way to hone flexibility especially when combined with Part 1 and 3. Many of our yoga sessions bring in active stretching, and we also utilise Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching in the Challenge to accelerate your flexibility gains
PART THREE: STRENGTH TRAINING
Contracting and moving the muscles we are working with at its full range of motion can really increase your flexibility. We’ll work with muscle pairs e.g. hamstrings and hip flexor muscles to build both strength and flexibility simultaneously.
PART FOUR: REST & RECOVERY
There are 3-4 key sessions to complete each week to see results, outside of this you have optional classes including 1-2 rest days per week (with an optional meditation) to allow your muscles to fully recover
PART FIVE: ACCOUNTABILITY & COMMUNITY
Joining this challenge live means you get to do it alongside a friendly likeminded community! Plus I’ll be there along the way, sending you accountability emails to keep you motivated and celebrating your wins!

I created this 45 day yoga challenge for the people who don’t resonate with the typical yogi (bending like a pretzel, you know the ones). I wanted to create an easy-to-follow and super achievable way for you to get more flexible with yoga… even as a yoga newbie!
The challenge is based on the science of flexibility applied in a really simple yet effective way. Plus it brings in years of my own experience as a genetically non-flexible person applying the techniques on my yoga mat.
Becoming more flexible can have a life-changing impact on your life - as well as being more mobile you can be pain-free, more energetic and more confident.
I am living proof that no matter how naturally stiff you are, yoga can transform your flexibility.

Live classes take place on Zoom on Monday evenings at 7.45pm, and alternate Saturday mornings at 9am. We begin the challenge on Saturday 1st March at 9am with a live Yoga for Flexibility workshop to kick things off!
Don’t worry if you can’t make the live sessions as they are all recorded so you can easily catch up at a time that suits you :)

The short answer is yes! The challenge is designed to be beginner friendly, and with the level of challenge increasing during the challenge. I design my classes to offer multiple levels so you can choose the one that suits you and your body, so every class should feel accessible to you.
If you are brand new to yoga I would recommend considering joining the Worker Bee Membership as it will give you access to beginners courses including a Yoga Foundations (4-part course) which will support you to nail all the basic techniques and will give you the confidence to attend live classes.

The full challenge is 45 days long and there is a class suggested for each of those 45 days.
However, our lifestyles and amount of free time vary, therefore there are 3-4 core classes a week (a combination of live classes and short 10-15 minute training classes).
There are other classes marked in the calendar that are ‘optional’ for you to choose to either practice or rest that day.
Ultimately, you can take this program at whatever pace suits you, but a relative amount of consistency is what brings people the results they’re after!

The live classes range between 30 - 60 mins. Outside of these classes the majority of sessions are 10 - 45 mins to make them easier to fit in your schedule.

Although the challenge is designed to be 45 days starting 1st March, you can take it at your own pace and you can catch up on the content whenever you like!
Please don’t worry if you don’t get the chance to do all the classes in-between the live sessions, it’s definitely still worth you joining the live classes when you can as you will still get the benefits of the practice - even if your results won’t be quite as good without the extra training sessions!
You can also go back through the challenge and repeat / do classes you’ve missed.

You will need a yoga mat, and ideally at least one yoga brick. It’s also helpful to have a yoga strap (or dressing gown cord is a good substitute) and a chair/wall space handy for some of the classes.
You may also like to have a cushion and blanket handy for comfort.

If you join the Worker Bee Membership the challenge is free and you will have access to the content for as long as you remain a member.
The standalone challenge price includes the workshop and all classes (live, recordings and on-demand). If you purchase the challenge as a standalone, the content is yours to keep forever.
