FAQs

  • What equipment do I need?

A large bathroom towel, or a yoga or other workout mat if you have one.

A yoga block or two can support you find space in your body, particularly you are not naturally flexible like me. A couple of large books are a great alternative assuming you don't have these lying around the house! πŸ˜‰

A blanket and a couple of sofa cushions are a 'nice to have' to provide extra padding and comfort.

  • What should I wear to take part?

You don't need to buy specific yoga clothes. Try wearing workout gear or stretchy clothing that will enable you to stretch and move your body without restriction.

  • Is the challenge suitable if I'm pregnant?

If you are in the first trimester it’s not advisable to practice yoga. If you are new to yoga then I would suggest you start with a specialist pregnancy class - there are lots of lovely options locally to me I can recommend! If you are pregnant and returning to yoga please contact me and we can discuss alternatives to ensure you practice safely.

  • What if I have an injury or a medical condition?

Not all exercises are suitable for everyone. Please send me an email as soon as possible if you have any injuries or medical conditions.

Worker Bee Yoga assumes no responsibility for injuries suffered while practicing these techniques.

  • Anything else I should know?

Try not to eat for at least an hour before the class. You want your body to focus on things other than digesting. It's also just plain uncomfortable to do some poses on a full stomach.

I recommend that you listen to your body and stop if you feel any discomfort during the practice. Rest when you are tired. Breathe. Have fun!
